Asset Groups
CloudBadging Location Management makes it easy to organize your assets into easy to manage groups. Asset groups are the highest level of categorization and contain asset types within them. Asset groups can be configured as transferable (can be loaned to someone and moved around, like a tool or vehicle) or fixed location (assigning control to a piece of heavy machinery). Your Asset Management setup includes the creation of up to 100 asset groups.
Asset Types
Asset types are a sub-set of asset groups. For example, an asset group of “vehicles” could contain a variety of asset types such as “forklifts”, “trucks”, and “excavator”. Your asset management setup includes the creation of up to 200 asset types and assigning those asset types to the correct asset groups.
Assets
Each individual asset can be created with an assigned asset type, a unique individual name, and additional reference information (tag or reference). Each asset can be assigned a location, owner, and department in CloudBadging Location Management. Your asset management setup includes the creation of up to 300 assets with the applicable information.
Asset User Permissions
Assets can be managed by assigned asset managers. Asset managers can be configured with varying levels of permissions from global (the ability to create asset groups, types, and assets across all locations), manager (ability to create groups, types and assets from assigned locations), or issuer (ability to issue assets out and receive them back in). Your setup includes assigning up to 20 asset managers to the permission level and locations you designate.
